Kael  Nadia sputtered, “You can’t be serious. You’re kicking me out of a fight about me?”  “This is between me as an Alpha heir and him as the regent,” Kael said, drawing himself up to his full height. Vincent just raised an eyebrow at him, every inch the disapproving teacher.  Nadia looked between the two of them in disbelief, before turning to Vincent and saying, “Vincent, I swear to god, if you actually–”  “Unfortunately, Kael is right,” Vincent interrupted her gravely. “The two of us need to have a long-overdue conversation, much of which will relate to pack business. I wouldn’t have chosen to do this here and now, but it seems that the Alpha heir is insisting.” He didn’t put much effort into hiding his sneer at Kael’s title. “So I’m afraid I do need to ask you to leave.”  Nadia l
