Katherine Harrington The first thing I saw through the jet window was water. Not rivers. Not lakes. Waterfalls. Massive silver streams poured down dark stone cliffs surrounding the estate below like something pulled out of mythology. Sunlight struck the water and shattered into diamonds across the landscape. I blinked slowly. Then leaned closer to the window. “…Luciano.” “Hm?” “What am I looking at?” He didn’t even glance up from the documents in his hand. “My home.” I stared at him. Then back outside.
