These are dark days.
There was something in Alexander’s eyes when he held me down after Sophia accused me of sleeping with David. Something that told me he wasn’t buying my “illness” anymore.
A couple days later, I told him I was feeling better and began sleeping in his bed again.
David sought me out the day after while Alexander was away working. I had to explain to him how jealous Alexander had gotten even though he believed nothing happened between me and David.
I could hear the words coming out of my mouth, sharing with David how absurd, how ridiculous Alexander had been. Yet at the same time I could feel myself getting wet, could feel the heat between my legs at the memory of Alexander’s jealousy. At the knowledge that my mate doesn’t want to share me.
