I have seen images of this palace in magazines and short media clips, but touring the palace personally with Queen Catherine leaves me speechless. Pictures and videos simply don’t do this masterpiece justice.
The color scheme features burnished gold paired with creamy marble. Above us, frescoes depict the moon goddess as if she were here in this building, watching over us all.
The surrounding heavens are painted in soft pastels, with massive crystal chandeliers lighting our path like glittering ice sculptures.
The tall ceilings of the stone building create a chill in the air as our high heels click-clack on the polished, mirrored floors. The sound echoes and bounces off the walls.
