Parker’s POV
One Week Later:
It’s official. I’m divorced. Della had us come over, and they grilled steaks and chicken for us to celebrate. She had borrowed the smoker and made a brisket, too. Apparently, they still celebrate with meat in the Boone family. Cassidy was here, but she kept her distance. I was just glad that she didn’t cause any issues for me. I think that time away from Ginger has been good for her.
I think she knows what she’s done. She just didn’t want to apologize to anyone for her actions. She seems to believe that people should just forgive her because ‘it was so long ago,’ or ‘she was young and didn’t know better,’ or my favorite, ‘she was led astray.'
