I walked into the doctor's office and saw Josh. I was surprised he was here, he looked as stressed as I felt.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” I asked when he looked over to see who was coming through the door.
“Cee texted me, said I needed to get here asap. Do you know anything? Has Honor said something about CeeCee? Is she sick?”
He had the same thoughts I did, except about CeeCee rather than Honor.
“Man, I don’t know anything. Honor told me I needed to be here by four.”
“Yeah, the nurse said she'll take me back when she’s told to,” Josh said. He went and slumped in a chair.
I told the nurse I was there to see Honor Chase. She gave me a look and a smile and then nodded.
“I will let you know when it’s time to go back,” she said and then left her station.
I sat next to Josh
