I sat in my car for a minute. I talked to Dr. Ball yesterday, and he was happy with Malik’s recovery. They took X-rays of his ribs and arm. The cast is staying on for another month. The ribs are healing just fine. They did an MRI, and his swelling has gone down significantly. The only thing not going back to normal was his memory. For two days, I’ve basically pussyfooted around Malik. I’ve let him talk about what he expects when we get home. He still thinks we’re a loving family.
