It was already growing dark when the limousine dropped us off at my small over-the garage apartment. It seemed a bit surreal to go from the luxurious interior of the car to the slightly cramped interior of my apartment.
Gabriel’s tall, broad shouldered frame only made it seem even smaller. There was nowhere I could go to escape his intense gaze. Not that I wanted to escape. I had invited him home, in full confidence.
