He spotted me too and a bitter smile crossed his face. “Little Maisie.” He said and I raised my weapon. “You picked the wrong side.” I said. The exchanged ended when Torch threw a flash grenade through the center of the room and light exploded while everyone flinched. Devil’s Hollow surged forward and the remaining guards broke almost instantly. Someone surrendered and most didn’t get the chance. The warehouse fell silent only minutes later and heavy breathing replaced gunfire and I heard it. Chains. Metal scraping across the concrete and the sound came from a room near the rear of the warehouse. My feet moved before my brain caught up and I pushed the door open. Vincent sat exactly where he had appeared in the video. He was still chained, still bruised and still bleeding.
