Aiden never hesitated to help when Ben became stuck, but he also made sure Ben figured things out himself. “You can’t learn if I do everything for you.” Aiden told him one evening. Ben frowned at the motorcycle part in front of him. “I know.” Ben said. “Then tell me what you think the problem is.” Aiden said and Ben studied it. “The alignment is slightly off.” Ben said. “Good.” Aiden said. “And the bracket is bent.” Ben said. “Exactly.” Aiden said as Ben smiled. “I think I’m getting better.” Ben said as Aiden nodded. “You are.” Aiden said. I watched them from across the workshop, and pride warmed my chest. Lawson Customs was no longer simply my business. It was becoming a place where people learned, worked, and helped each other. The community noticed what we were doing too.
