“What does that mean?” Derek asked.
“I don't know.” Aaron said.
“You expect us to believe that two Black Reapers suddenly betrayed Victor without knowing the plan?” Derek asked.
“We know enough to know we don't want to be there when it happens.” Aaron said as he shook his head and Cole appeared in the doorway.
“He’s telling the truth.” Cole said.
“Cole?” Aaron asked as he turned toward him.
“You called them too?” Cole asked.
“Yes.” Aaron said.
Neither man looked pleased to discover the other had defected, which actually made me trust them slightly more. If this had been staged, they would have known about each other.
