I’d noticed Evangeline’s worsening behavior a long time ago, but I never really had to worry about it.
After all, I had Margaret by my side, and she offered comfort when Evangeline couldn’t. She always validated my opinions regarding Evangeline and she saw just as I did that Eva was a brat sometimes and she liked to throw tantrums.
However, this behavior was getting harder to ignore.
The Eva I knew would have never asked me for money to ignore an issue, and she would have never ordered the most expensive item on the menu. She was acting weird and out of character, and even Margaret couldn’t get me to ignore it.
For f***s sake, she even moved out.
