I was surprised to see Ilona.
When Nicholas suggested that we have dinner, I’d assumed that he meant only the two of us. I was pissed off at him for his words, but I relished the idea of spending time alone with him. Sure, it was awkward, but it reminded me of all the time we spent together when I was younger and how close we were.
