Gideon’s POV
I stood in the hallway, my legs aching but the pain tolerable. I was there for a while, staring at the closed door of the operating room, wondering what was happening with my son. How bad was the damage? Would they be able to save him?
What had my poor child gone through during his captivity?
And… what had he been talking about?
Saved by his mother? As far as I understood it, Claire hadn’t been among the warriors Ivan sent. Although, as I was confined here, I didn’t know for sure.
Leo did say that his mother kind of looked like Raven. Was he blurring reality and fantasy in his deluded, wounded state? Or was he actually lucid? Could Claire and Raven be the same person after all?
But the DNA test… the results… Nova wasn’t related to Leo. How could they both be from Raven?
