"Do you trust this man?" Kaida's hands framed Uther's face, forcing him to look up at her. His eyes were still full of despair, something that she now understood why. After her unusually merry night, she had woken up to a terrible headache, an unpleasant taste in her mouth and Uther seated at the edge of their bed, seemingly deep in thought. His long hair was let loose and flowed at his sides messily, while his usually straight back was hunched over. The sight of him seated in such a manner had got her worried instantly. It was unlike him to assume such a posture, which made Kaida ignore her own discomfort to find out what troubled her prince.
