Thenry was dying, or so Kaida thought as she beheld his writhing body while anguished screams escaped the second prince's lips. Whatever she had expected once they sighted their first dragon and it’d made its choice known, this was clearly not it. The second prince’s face had drained of all its colour and bore the evidence of whatever horrors were taking place on the inside of his body. It was as if a war had been waged and his insides forced to defend themselves. For a moment Kaida was reminded of her own prince’s predicament from not so long ago.
