The next morning, we all got up early and got a head start. In my truck, there was Oliver, Veer, Franco, the dogs, and me. And then the next one had Grams, Grandpa, Enzo, and Diego in it. Santino, Ivan, Colt, and Dagger were in the last vehicle. Since Oliver was driving my truck, I was able to put Casper on the floorboard by my feet, and Demon was in the back in between Franco and Veer.
Before we left this morning, Diego had gotten up early and made a run to go get coffee and breakfast for us. Thanks to him doing that, we didn't have to make any stops when we left. So as soon as he got back, we loaded up and left. Veer was still asleep, so I held onto his food until he was awake.
