The farther we got away from home, the harder that it was for me. I felt like I had left my heart back with my family. And I couldn't wait to get back to them. Before we left for the day, I called Leandro to check in. He let me know that Tink and Veer were going to spend the night with her grandparents. I hated that she couldn't even be in our home because I wasn't there.
