Chapter 14: Returning to Civilization
Sarah and Sparkle dismounted from the coach at the cottage Sarah had booked. Sophie came out, and collected some packages from the luggage compartment of the coach, and helped her Mistress lead her new puppy into the house. Sophie knew what was in the boxes, since she had seen other girls after their return from the kennels. Still, Sophie had hoped her Miss might turn out different.
"Sophie, my puppy has had a tiring trip, I am sure. Please get her a bowl of water and food, and make her comfortable. Once she has had her fill, please put her into the kennel cage, and come up to my room for a few minutes."
