Chapter 3: Julie's Decision Julie had lived in the Midwest of the country for most of her life. She had, however, convinced her parents to let her travel alone for spring break for the first time. Her argument was that since she was 18 now, it was time for her to start making her own way in life, and not having to rely on her parents for her own survival and decisions.
