Fiona is an angel.
That is the only thought running through my mind as she helps take care of Chloe since the nurse left. They didn’t find anything in Chloe’s blood tests, so she administered the last IV and returned to the hospital with instructions to call if she got worse.
I don’t like it, but Fiona has eased my mind and my worry by helping take care of Chloe.
“Let me help,” Fiona says softly, taking the rag from Chloe’s hand. Since Chloe is weak, she’s been stuck in bed for the last two days. Fiona runs the wet rag over Chloe’s face gently and then goes lower, cleaning Chloe up as best as she can.
Her gentle nature sends a ripple of longing through me. Honestly, as I watch the two of them, I find myself wishing that Fiona would stay and help out more. She didn’t come
