My heart eased a bit after Nolan’s confession earlier. I don’t know if he meant to call me precious but hearing him admit that he doesn’t think of me as a plaything helps me feel better. Nonetheless, I’m still not sure whey he’s blocking Billy’s advances.
I’ve tried to come up with a reason over the last few hours, but the only thing I can think of is that Nolan sees Billy as a threat. A threat to what, I’m not sure. Billy is the son of Nolan’s biggest rival, so maybe he thinks that if I begin dating Billy that Billy will find a way to get information out of me.
If that’s not it, then I’m not sure what it is.
