Ethan sat on the edge of the bed, his hand still resting on her bare thigh. Morning light came through the thin curtains and rested soft across the sheets. Riley’s sister stared at him, eyes wide from the question he had just asked.
“Is Riley ever satisfied in bed with any man?”
The words hung there. She pulled the sheet higher against her chest but did not push his hand away.
“Ethan… what kind of question is that?”
“An honest one,” he said. His voice stayed low. “You’re her sister. You know her better than anyone. I’ve been married to her for months and I still can’t tell if I’m enough.”
She looked down at his hand on her skin. “Why are you asking me this now?”
“Because I walked in here looking for her and found you instead. And now I can’t stop thinking about it.”
