Charlotte’s POV
Sophia rushed over, smiling wide. I looked at Kieran, certain that he would tell her there had been some mistake. But he didn’t.
“You knew?” I asked, staring at him.
“I thought I mentioned it,” Kieran said, glancing at me. “Sophia offered to come along as an extra set of hands. In case we need someone to watch Nora.”
My jaw tightened. “You didn’t mention it.”
“I must have forgotten.” He turned back to Sophia. “You found the place alright?”
“Of course.” Sophia smiled, adjusting her sunglasses. “The drive was lovely.”
I looked at Kieran again, willing him to read the frustration on my face. This was supposed to be a family trip. Just the three of us. Having Sophia here defeated the entire purpose of pretending to be a happy couple.
