The memory crawled back instantly and irritation tightened through my chest all over again. “He said things to get reactions.” I muttered. “That doesn’t answer the question.” He said. “You really wanna do this right now?” I asked. “Yeah. I do.” He replied immediately. The honesty caught me off guard slightly and silence stretched again while the wind moved through the trees around us before I finally exhaled quietly. “He saw that I changed.” I admitted. “You think I don’t see it too?” Drake asked looking at me. “That’s not the same thing.” I said. “Then explain the difference.” He said. “You look at me like you’re worried I’ll get hurt. Raze looked at me like he expected me to hurt other people.” I said quietly as I rubbed tiredly at my face.
