That sounded exactly like the woman Blade had described.
"My mother comforted everyone." I whispered.
"She did." He said as he smiled sadly.
"I remember hiding behind her." I said.
The first fragment of memory struck me without warning. Cold concrete. Bright white lights. A room filled with frightened children. A woman kneeling in front of us with gentle eyes and my knees weakened.
