I wake before my alarm that afternoon and for a few peaceful seconds I simply lie still beneath the blankets while listening to the quiet sounds drifting through the clubhouse. Someone is already moving around downstairs which was strange because everyone had finally crashed after not getting much sleep at all and I can hear faint footsteps crossing the wooden floor, but there are no shouted orders, no phones ringing nonstop, and no explosions waiting to ruin the day before it even begins. It feels strange. Almost too strange and I stretch slowly before climbing out of bed and I pull my hair into a messy bun while padding across the room toward the bathroom. Warm water pours over me as I shower, and I let the tension slowly wash away while steam fills the small room. My mind keeps trying
