The missing pages bothered me more than anything else in the file and while everyone continued searching the archive, I sat staring at the empty gap where the record should have been. Someone had removed them. Not by accident and not recently. The torn edges made that obvious. Whoever built this archive had decided those pages were too important to leave behind. Which meant they were probably the pages I needed the most.
