I bolted upright and adrenaline exploded through my system and Drake was already out of bed.
Voices immediately echoed through the house and Drake ran out of the room shouting.
“Stay upstairs.” He yelled. But naturally I ignored that.
I rushed into the hallway and several doors were already opening. Blade appeared from the opposite side and Brax emerged behind him.
The sound came from downstairs as furniture was scraping, footsteps and a struggle. Then a violent thud and followed by silence.
My pulse hammered inside my ears and Drake appeared at the bottom of the staircase as his face looked murderous.
“Everyone stay where you are.” Drake ordered.
