The silence afterward stretched painfully. Eventually we got back on the bike and the search continued. Nothing changed and nothing improved. By sunset everyone returned to the clubhouse empty handed. No Finn, no leads, no sightings. Nothing. The atmosphere inside the clubhouse felt heavier than I had ever experienced because even the loudest members barely spoke. People were scared but they weren’t admitting it.
