The burner phone rang three times before I finally answered it and by then every person in the apartment was staring at me who Drake had called over.
I pressed the speaker button and static crackled briefly.
Then Raze’s voice filled the room. It was calm and controlled and dangerously relaxed.
“Storm.” He said and Drake’s entire body immediately tensed.
“I wondered how long it would take you to find that tunnel.” He said. Nobody spoke so Raze continued.
“If you’re hearing this then congratulations because you’re finally learning to think ahead.” He said and Drake grabbed the phone.
“That’s enough.” Drake said but the message kept playing.
