I was alive because of him, but I could easily be dead because of him too and that was why I only stared at the locked door to the room I had slept in instead of unlocking it and going out there to meet my saviour. The events of last night kept replaying on a loop since I opened my eyes. Getting lost on this solo trip, the accident, my sorry attempt at protecting myself. Me being carried kicking and screaming by a stranger, and he marching into the safety of his cabin like a neanderthal barely bothered by my screeching voice and girly fist punches that bounced off his winter clothes.
