“Oh my Lord,” Miss Pims wrung her hands together anxiously.  “This is all so overwhelming!  I almost wish Mrs. Short was here.  She really was a genius at keeping everything organized.”  The kitchen was crowded with extra workers as staff of the Keep was preparing for the wedding feast.  Cook had been working for three days straight trying to make all the preparations, baking breads and cakes, boiling kettles of beans.  Two oxen had been slaughtered and were being roasted in pits outside, along with four fat hogs.  All of the village bakers, and several industrious housewives had been conscripted to help prepare food.  The wedding ceremony would take place in the small village chapel, with only a small number of guests in attendance, but the entire village was invited to partake in the ba
