“Alvaro really cares about all of you. He also knew there was only one way out. It's over, and that is all that matters. Everyone is safe and that asshole can never hurt anyone again. I call that a win. Just accept the win and move on. We all deserve it.” he says, and I smile and agree. We can all finally close this chapter of our lives and move on.
The rest of the day was perfect. We all had a great time together as an extended family of misfits, as Vance calls us. The last people to leave were Robyn, Ricardo, Rebel and Trish. After they left, we went straight to bed. It's been a long day, but a damn good one. Liz was so tired, she fell asleep the minute her head hit the pillow.
