“I will,” I answer, and look at Phoebe. “It's going to be okay,” I say, and she nods, but I can see the worry in her eyes. I followed his instructions and followed behind Eugene. We take the next exit, and we drive fast, but not too fast. The roads are still icy, but luckily I took my SUV and not Arachne. We drive a few miles, and then we come back around. There is only one highway that leads out of the city to the area the house is in. It's already dark out and there aren't many cars on the road. We make it back onto the highway and as we take the bend, there are cars blocking the road. Eugene has to stop dead in his tracks, and that causes us to slow down too. I look ahead, and I can see at least four vehicles. Immediately, men started getting out and fired shots at Eugene’s vehicle.
