When we get home, I take off my shoes and go straight to the nursery, but Matthew isn't in his crib. I went to the guest room, but he and Emma were not there either. Where could they be? “Do you know where Emma and Matthew are?” I asked Zander when he came upstairs.
“I don't, aren't they in the nursery?” he asks. “No, and they aren't in Emma’s room.” “Okay, let's check downstairs. Maybe they were watching television and fell asleep,” Zander says, and I nod. I open our room door to put my bag and shoes down, and Zander follows.
We find Emma sleeping on my side of the bed, with Matthew lying asleep on her chest. I look at Zander and he shrugs. Why would she come into our room? That is not exactly appropriate. “Why would she come here?” I whisper. “I don't know, should I wake her?” Z
