Mark comes out and puts his arm around me. “What happened babe?” He asks. “Emma jumped through the window and got away. They are chasing her now.” I answered, and his eyes widened. We hear two gunshots go off and look at each other in shock.
“What’s going on?” I heard Alvaro yell into a walkie-talkie. “Man down sir, suspect shot the man chasing her. We are almost there.” a man says over speaker. Eric looks at me, before he takes off running. “Damn it, I will be right back. Go inside and lock the doors and windows. I will leave two men here with you.” Alvaro says while getting back into his car.
“Be safe,” I yelled after him, and pulled a shocked Mark inside with me. One of the agents comes inside with us, while the other stays outside. I immediately called Ricardo to fill him in. Nick
