I hear a car stop and a man runs over to me to help. He is smaller than me, so he gets in easier. He cuts the seat belt and I reach forward to steady her. Between the two of us, we managed to get her out and onto the road. We put her down and I put her head in my lap. “Thank you,” I say and he nods.
“I called emergency services, but they are already on their way. I see them now.” He says, looking down the road. They park and rush over with a stretcher and start looking at her. Toby came running over and I looked at him. “I had to check you were okay. I will stay here, you go to the hospital with her. I will get her belongings out of the car when the police are done.” Toby says.
“Thank you, Toby, you are the best.” I say and he smiles and squeezes my shoulder. “She will be okay,” he says
