“I just want to hold you,” he says, and I smile. He puts me down gently on the bed and helps me take off my shoes and jacket off. I move over and give him space to lie down. I rest my head on his chest, and listen to his heartbeat. I fell asleep very quickly, because I was exhausted. The pills I am taking also make me a little groggy.
When I open my eyes again, Zander isn’t with me. I do, however, hear a very familiar voice that makes me smile. I slowly lift myself up so I can sit up right. The door opens and Zander peeks in, only to be pushed out of the way by none other than my best friend. “Bestie!” she yells and I chuckle.
She runs over to me and pulls me gently into a hug. “I am so glad you are here, Robyn.” I say as I hold her as tightly as I could. “Me too, I missed you so much. H
