"You're not sleeping in the same bed as me, mister," I said firmly to Darren as he tried to follow me into the bedroom.
"Why not? I've come all this way for you and I've missed seeing your face. I'm not crashing anywhere else," he teased, leaning against the wall and causing me to back up against it. I felt a flutter in my stomach as he brought his face close and sniffed my hair. He knew exactly how to set my heart racing.
"How's Hilla?" I asked, shifting the conversation and slipping out of his embrace.
"She's fine, been really worried about you," he replied, straightening up and then tilting his head. "Reyna! Can I ask what you've decided?" His question made me frown at him.
