I've been waiting for Darren in my room, slowly realizing what happened down there. Why the heck was Kage so interested in me kissing him? I covered my ears as his words echoed through them. I didn't like how he was acting. He was making me believe that he was this hopeless man who was now jealous. Was I believing any of his actions? No! But they were bothering me and that wasn't a lie.
"Hey," Darren walked in with a glass of wine for me and himself. Seeing him downstairs really helped me with the anxiety that Kage had put me through.
"Thank you. I really needed that," I sighed, watching him sit down on the bed with me. I couldn't help but take heavy breaths and sigh here and there. I am sure he must be thinking what the hell is going on in his life because of me now.
