"They've nodded off," I adjusted my posture, glancing back to see my kids sleeping in the backseat of the car. Today has been so easy. I mean, definitely minus the part where those scumbags attacked me. But I didn't leave them at peace either. But I did wonder if I did the right thing by trusting Kage to take care of that matter. Should I ask Darren for help instead?
Darren was behind the wheel, and I sat beside him in the passenger seat. My kids had so much fun, so the minute they were back in the car, they dozed off.
"Did you have a good time today?" he asked me with a gentle tone.
