I backed away from him when I sensed the mate bond with him. My mouth fell open and my eyes widened.
"This doesn't make any sense," I kept moving away from him.
"It's true. I've known about it my whole life," I didn't even let him finish before darting back into the house. He tried to chase after me, but I slammed the glass door shut on his face and slid down against it to cry.
What on earth was going on in my life? How in the world was it possible for him to be my mate? I already have a mate, so why do I have a human for a mate?
I shook my head and cried, feeling so lost. It was as if I knew nothing about my life, and someone else took advantage of it.
