Love Cameron:
"Why do you look so upset, Love? I don't get it," Darren reached out for my arm, but I shrugged myself free, feeling uncomfortable as we had this conversation. It was something I didn't think would land Kage in trouble.
"Because I should be behind those silver bars," I uttered, raising my head to see Darren watching me with a frown on his forehead.
"What did you say?" he asked. But it was Hilla who reacted in the most explosive way. She was acting entirely different from how she used to act around me. Her demeanor was calm but her tone was so harsh.
"You want to exchange places with Kage? Why are you defending him so hard?" Hilla, who was sitting comfortably on the couch, was twirling her hair around her finger.
"For goodness' sake, Hilla, don't twist her words," Darren
