Escape From The Critical Event

The man outside had reached the designated room, but he found the door locked. Unable to do anything, he had to call Francesca. "Hello, Francesca, what's going on? The door is locked." The man on the other end of the phone said something, and the man outside replied in agreement, patiently waiting at the door. Victoria knew that Francesca would be there soon. This hotel suite was Victoria's private room. Besides Victoria, only Francesca had a spare key. At this time, Victoria still believed that Francesca was her best friend. Suddenly, there was more activity at the door. It sounded like Francesca had arrived. Victoria sneered. She said she was going home, but she showed up at the hotel so quickly. It seemed she had been waiting for the man to send her a message after the deed was done. But this time, she wouldn't give anyone the chance to hurt her! Victoria reaches out and turns the V-shaped emblem on the wardrobe, causing the wardrobe to slowly slide open, revealing a secret door. She quickly steps inside, and as the main door opens, the secret door in the wardrobe closes back into place. The top-floor suites in the Valentini Hotel all have secret doors, known only to the top executives of the Valentini Conglomerate. Francesca opens the door and looks around the empty room, not even noticing the blood-stained shards of the vase on the floor. She immediately rushes into the inner room, only to find it empty, looking bewildered. "What's going on? Victoria isn't in here?!" She quickly pulls out her phone and calls someone, "Sofia, the plan has failed. Victoria isn't in the room." Yes, at that moment, Victoria did not know Sofia, but Sofia had already placed a spy around Victoria. Victoria, in the secret passage, is holding her forehead wound, still dizzy. She was supposed to pass through the passage to the neighboring room, but the injury to her head and the effect of the body heat medication caused her to lose her sense of direction. As she finally reached a secret door, she had already wandered around in circles. She pushed open the secret door, and as she stepped out, she was suddenly tripped by something and fell forward. Splash! A huge wave of water was stirred up. The secret door of this room was next to the bathtub, but why was the bathtub so soft? Before she could react, her throat was grabbed, and her back was pressed against the side of the bathtub, causing her back to ache fiercely. Her head was instantly deprived of oxygen. She flails her legs and continuously slaps at the man's body. Mmm... "Tell me! Who sent you!" The man's cold voice echoed in her ears. A familiar voice, but the room was not lit, and she couldn't see the man's face. She struggles to shake her head, forcing out a few words from her throat, "I... am... Victoria... Valentini..." Upon hearing this, the man gradually loosens his grip. Before she can catch her breath, he pulls her out of the bathtub and throws her onto the floor. Victoria, drenched like a wet chicken, sits on the floor, breathing heavily. The wind from the balcony howls in, causing her to shiver. The turmoil has somehow reduced the effect of the medication in her body. The man steps out of the bathtub, and the light flickers on with a click. Victoria looks back at the man, who is also drenched. His thin black shirt and pants are tightly adhering to his body, revealing his perfect physique without reservation. However, the upper half of his face is covered by a mask, completely hiding his true appearance. The chiseled jawline seems familiar, but she can't think of who it is. Both of them silently appraise each other. The man's ink-black eyes, like the night, fixed on the girl in front of him. The girl's makeup has been smeared by the water from the bathtub, making her face a patchwork of colors, completely obscuring her true appearance. However, her eyes seemed to speak, lively and clear. He glances at the secret door next to the bathtub. He stays here every year and has never noticed this secret door before. "Are you with the Valentini Conglomerate?" Victoria nods, enlightened. "Yes! My name is Victoria Valentini. My mother is the third daughter of the Valentini Conglomerate, and Alessandro Valentini is my grandfather." The man ponders for a moment, then nods towards the door. "Go out." Victoria turns her head towards the door, quickly gets up from the floor. The fall from being thrown out earlier left her body aching all over. The man in front of her seemed to be a VIP guest of the Valentini Hotel, someone who could only stay on the top floor and must have a close relationship with the Valentini Conglomerate. The Valentini Conglomerate was originally one of the most influential Italian Mafia families in New York. In the late 20th century, the family successfully went legitimate, gradually transforming into a commercial giant in banking, insurance, media, and education, becoming one of the most powerful capitalist families on the East Coast of the United States. After Alessandro took over, to avoid some risks, he gradually moved the family business to Ravenwood, southeastern New York State. Nestled among mountains and water, the area is known as the "Shangri-La of the upper class." However, she had been instilled with too many negative ideas by Enzo since she was a child. He always told her that her grandfather and uncles were ruthless Mafia bosses, and that they were only nice to her because of the shares her mother left her, wanting to get close to her. Over time, she distanced herself from her grandfather and uncles, harboring a deep aversion towards them. Enzo never disciplined her and was very indulgent to her financially, because as long as she said a few words to the old man of the Valentini Conglomerate, external companies would all send profits to Enzo's company. Naturally, they were also full of expectations that she would transfer her inherited shares to Enzo after she came of age. In their eyes, she was nothing more than a walking ATM. In these years, her grandfather those cleaned up many messes for her and the Bai family, but she was ungrateful and never satisfied. As a result, she basically didn't get close to the Valentini Conglomerate after growing up, so she had no idea about the people and things the Conglomerate had been involved with in recent years. Suddenly, she thought of something and turned around, her voice tinged with a plea, "Please don't tell my grandfather about what happened here. I don't want him to worry." The man stared at her, saying nothing. Victoria thought he must have agreed. She hurriedly thanked him repeatedly and left the room in a flustered manner. The man removes his mask, revealing chiseled features as handsome as if carved by a master. He exudes the aura of a king who dominates the world, and his cold, proud eyes can easily penetrate people's hearts. Unfortunately, Victoria didn't see his true appearance when he took off the mask. He was the man who came to save her. Lorenzo Conti's jet-black eyes are fixed on the bathtub, where the scent of blood emanates. The pain in his body seemed to have been relieved at that moment when the girl fell into the water... This was the first time since he grew up that he didn't need that person's blood to suppress the poison in his body. Could the girl's blood also have this effect? Lorenzo's exquisite face shows a hint of coldness. It seems that Alessandro's granddaughter might be the cure he's been searching for! He had been in Ravenwood for so long and had only heard about the notorious Victoria, how troublesome and domineering she was, but Alessandro had never mentioned her. Ha, the old fox. On the other hand, Victoria stumbles down the fire escape, barely keeping her balance. The hotel's security is patrolling the floors and sees a woman with smeared makeup and blood on her forehead. Even a grown man is almost frightened to death, thinking he's encountered a ghost. "I'm Victoria, please take me to the hospital," she really can't hold on anymore, her body feels like it's been hollowed out, and her eyes suddenly start to ache intensely, as if being pricked by thousands of needles. Hearing her name, the security guard breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing the girl about to faint, he quickly reaches out to catch her. "Oh, oh, Miss Valentini! Miss Valentini!" When Victoria wakes up again, she only hears the beeping of the machines by her bed. The strong smell of disinfectant fills her nose, but she notices that her ears and eyes seem clearer and more sensitive than usual. "Victoria, Are you awake?" Enzo looked at her with a worried expression. Victoria glanced at him, her eyes and heart filled with immense hatred. However, she can't reveal her true thoughts so quickly. She still needs to take revenge on those who harmed her, making them taste the bitterness she suffered in her previous life. Enzo is startled by her sudden intense gaze. Although she is still a child, her eyes are piercing, even making him, a seasoned veteran of the underworld, break out in a cold sweat. Before the man can comprehend the change, the girl softly smiles and asks in a gentle tone, "Dad, how did I end up here?" Seeing the girl's usual attitude towards him, Enzo breathes a sigh of relief and pretends to be concerned. "Early this morning, the hospital called me, saying you were injured at the Valentini Hotel and taken to the hospital by security. I rushed over immediately." He strokes the wound on her forehead, feigning even more concern. "Tell me who did this to you. I will definitely seek justice for you!" Victoria smirks inwardly, watching him act. She couldn't help but applaud him silently in the deepest part of her heart. She didn't realize that this man's acting skills were so good. If he were to become an actor, he would definitely win the Best Actor award for his exquisite performance.
