Victoria's cheeks flushed instantly. She lowered her head and gently bit her lip, not knowing how to answer his question. Lucas looked at her and felt a ripple of unease in his heart.
He reached out his hand, wanting to touch her hair, but then stopped midair. He said softly, "I was just kidding. Actually, I'm really glad to meet you here."
Victoria looked up and met Lucas's gaze. She found his eyes filled with deep affection. At that moment, she seemed to forget everything around her, seeing only the man in front of her.
After a while, Lucas broke the silence. "I want to ask you if we met in an ordinary VL store in San Vito. Do you think such a first encounter would be more acceptable to you?" There was a hint of expectation in his tone, as if he hoped to hear an affirmative answer.
