“Ruin me… I want to be yours to ruin,” I quivered.
His expression changed…barely…but I caught the flicker before his face hardened again. His eyes darkened, and his jaw clenched. For a long moment, he just stood there, staring at me, unmoving… as if my words didn’t even reach him.
I waited, breath shallow, heart pounding painfully, hoping,begging…for a single response.
But nothing came. Just silence.
I took a step closer, my knees weak, my palms cold. He didn’t move. He just watched me, empty, lifeless. My chest ached so much that I thought it would split open.
