Casey’s POV. The hot water beats down the back of my neck. My hands braced against the cold tiled wall of the shower. My breathing is calm and my heart beats in a steady rhythm. I open my eyes and watch as the pink and red water swirls down the drain. Tilting my head back, the water hits my face as I reach for the soap and get to work scrubbing my skin to remove all traces of that monster’s blood. I shampoo my hair as my phone rings in the bedroom. I sigh and turn the shower off, and grab my towel as I wrap it around my body. I walk barefoot into the room, not looking at the bed. I reach for my phone on the bedside table. I smirk, seeing who it is that is calling. “Brother, to what do I owe the pleasure of this call?” I say as I strut around the room, reaching for my black duffle bag.
