“We aren’t related by blood. But he looks at me and my husband as uncle and aunty, the same as my kids do with his parents. His papa is the adopted brother of my husband, no blood relation whatsoever. Just so we are clear. We are all an extended family.” I say to her and she sighs. Disaster averted.
“Please follow me. I will take you to the ultrasound department in the OBGYN.” She says and we all stand and follow her. I walk behind Casey and Ivan and smile at how he is with her and how she is with him.
