“I’m so going to retaliate.” I say under my breath as we all get to work cleaning what we can and using the hoses to rinse out the grass of its glitter and slime. I really should have thought this through.
“No, you’re not. That was our last hurrah before we both become parents. Besides, at least we can tell our kids about this when they get older. And we have the advantage. We will know what the kids will do before they even manage it,” Roman says and I chuckle seeing our kids trying and failing to prank us.
“Yeah, but we aren’t completely retired and you know it.” I say to him when he hugs me and kisses my head.
“Yeah, you’re right. Come on, the quicker we get this done, the quicker we can eat and get on with our individual punishments.” He says, and I nod in agreement.
